Music News: Australian Tours News
It's
set to be a big few months for touring in Australia over the next few
months with some of the biggest cult acts in the world set to hit our
shores very soon.
Heading to Australia for the first time,
French four piece, Phoenix (who are quickly making names for themselves
for their loungy, mellow and unpretentious sounds), will be performing
at the V Festival and Best of V Festival dates across the country.
Prior
to their V Festival dates, Phoenix are set to play a sold out show at
The Factory on Thursday March 29, as well as a 2nd show on Thursday
April 5 which was put on sale due to overwhelming demand.
From up and comers to music legends - comes the new that rock stalwarts The Pixies
(the band which is claimed to have been the inspiration for Nirvana)
will also be playing several solo show in the lead up to their festival
appearances at the V Festivals in Sydney and on the Gold Coast.
The band will play the Palace in Melbourne on Wednesday March 28 and Sydney's Big Top at Luna Park on Friday March 30.
And
for those who like their rock a little more mellow - you may have to
wait just a little longer for Dave Matthews upcoming Australian tour.
Due
to "unforeseen" circumstances Dave Matthews Band will no longer be able
to perform their Australian tour dates scheduled for April. However
dates have been hastily rescheduled to take place in May, just 1 month
later. The rescheduled dates are:
Tuesday May 1: Melbourne Vodafone Arena (previously Friday April 13) Wednesday May 2: Adelaide Festival Theatre (previously Monday April 2) Friday May 4: Brisbane Convention Centre (previously Wednesday April 4) Saturday May 5: Sydney Hordern Pavilion (previously Tuesday April 10)
All tickets purchased for the original April dates remain valid for the rescheduled May dates without need of exchange. |
