Hot Pick: Axle Whitehead - New Clip

For most people, the name Axle Whitehead conjures up two images.

The First: Some kind of morphed and mutated form of a pimple

The Second: That idiot who flopped out his donkey at the 2006 Aria Awards.

For some - it might be a mixture of both.

However, just like the entertainment world loves a good breakdown (and as breakdowns go, Axle's career seemed finished: loss of Video Hits job, credibility and free entry to... well anything of importance) - we love a good comeback just that little bit more!

Just look at the careers of Robert Downey Junior and Charlie Sheen. Both ingested more narcostics than the corpse of Chris Farley less than a decade ago - yet look at them now!

Sheen has the highest rating sitcom on US TV (granted, Two And A Half Men is about as entertaining as shot in the mouth, but I digress), while RDJ is set to star in one of the most talked about comic-book movies (Iron Man) since Spider Man was released back in the early 00's. So it just goes to show that it ain't over till it's over!

The same can be said for Whitehead. While the rest of his fellow Ex-Aussie-Idols struggle to release songs of substance or quality, young 'Freeballing Axle' has completley come out of left field with this ever-so-catchy track I Don't Do Surprises.

A little bit Coldplay, a little bit Athlete - and a whole lot catchy - I Don't Do Surprises is the sort of song that ends up on most people's iPods without you ever quite knowing how or why it's there... but by gum, you're glad it is.
