Let's get this straight out of the way. This song is awesome - but
after hearing it over five hundred billion times (it seems the fellow
that I share my cubicle with doesn't know the meaning of "track
rotation" or "variety") I'm already sick of it.
However, that's not to say that it's to late for the good readers of The Music Channel to enjoy the up tempo tunes of UK outfit Bloc Party.
The
song (which is expected to be included on their upcoming album) was
rumoured to have been offered to our very own Kylie Minogue (she passed
on the offer, opting for all the dud tracks off her flop album "X").
Why do we like it? Well - firstly, the song is Bloc Party at their catchy best. Even better is this Godzilla meets Power Rangers
type film clip. It seems that 90s nostalgia is well and truly back - in
no time we'll all be dusting off our "Red Power Ranger Suit" (or "Pink
Power Ranger" suit for the gals...or guys).
