Coldplay return with
a great new single -
Free To Download!

It's
official - the internet age (and quite possibly the beginning of a Terminator 3 style computer
take-over) is upon us!
First Radiohead
made headlines by giving punters the option of "Pay What You Like" for
their album "In Rainbows". Now, one of the worlds biggest bands - Coldplay - have gone one step
further!
Coldplay's new single,
Violet Hill, is now available as a free download
exclusively from the Coldplay website. The site is already
experiencing a huge amount of traffic, with the download available for
free for only seven days.
However, it's not all about downloady goodness - the kind UK lads have
also made the full song availible on Coldplay's MySpace player.
This is, of course, a full week ahead of the single's conventional
paid-for digital release, on Tuesday May 6th.
But it doesn't end there!
On Wednesday May 7th, there will be a free limited edition 7-inch vinyl
of Violet Hill
on the cover of UK mag NME, backed by the exclusive B-side, A Spell A Rebel Yell.
But the genirosity doesn't end there. Free gigs in London and New York
have just been announced with the website announcing preliminary
details of two free shows which the band will play in June (one at
London's Brixton Academy and the other at New York's Madison Square
Garden). Full details of how to win tickets to both will be revealed on
Coldplay.com in the next few weeks.
