Coldplay - Glastonbury 2011
While
Aussies survive in the musical sphere with quality festivals like Big
Day Out, Summerdaze and the newest contender Splendour In The Grass
(which, in 2011, boasted Coldplay and Kanye West), we never quite reach
the lofty heights of Coachella or Glastonbury.
The sheer force
of musical entertainment on offer at Glastonbury is mind blowing. In
2011 it boasted some of the world's biggest acts in history - Coldplay,
U2 and Paul Simon.
Oh, did we mention Beyone popped by well to drop a few hot ditties?
Anyhew - for the most part, Australians have beens starved of the opportunity to see such genius at work.
Thank
goodness for the internet which now allows the world to come together
as one and enjoy the fruits of Chris Martin & Co no matter what
corner of the globe you reside.

Following 2011's wonderful Pyramid Stage show, Coldplay have donated their performance of In My Place to raise money for Glastonbury's three charities, Oxfam, WaterAid and Greenpeace Environmental Trust.
The proceeds from the sale of the song on iTunes - including 100% of iTunes' share - will go to the three charities.
Click here to download In My Place (Live at Glastonbury) from the UK iTunes Store now.
The track will be on sale for 30 days. It is also available on the Irish and US iTunes Stores.
U2's I Will Follow performance from Friday night is also available on iTunes, click here to download it now.
But
for Aussies unable to download - we're giving you the chance to watch
over 2 hours of Glastonbury footage below. You are welcome!
