Music News: Gotye Remixed ... And Live!
By Sean Lynch
Fans of Aussie music prodigy Wally De Backer (Aka. Gotye Aka. The drummer from The Basics) will be happy to know that the skillful musician isn't disappearing from the radar as his alter ego Gotye after all. Constantly touring with his side-band, The Basics,
recently to promote their debut album "Stand Out Fit In", many
feared that the Triple J Album of the Year winner was leaving his
stunning vocals behind. But fear not. Speaking with the laid back
De Backer recently, Web Wombat is pleased to announce that there is
more Gotye on the way, with a live tour also on the way! The ARIA Nominated "Like
Drawing Blood" is currently in the process of being remixed to form the
long awaited follow up release to be titled "Mixed Blood" with a
release date scheduled for mid July of 2007. De Backer said the
album which will include "...Remixes and covers of Gotye tracks by the
likes of Faux Pas, Karnivool, Bass Kleph, Fourth Floor Collapse, Inga
Liljestrom and many more" came about after "Peter Pasqual from my
distributor, Creative Vibes, planted the seed" about a remixed album
while fans waited for new material from the star. However, he was quick
to point out that while Paqual planted the seed "I grew the thing" -
meaning that the album is certain to kick some major league butt! In
other Gotye news, tickets are now on sale for Gotye's national tour
with his "Mini Orchestra". Live Gotye shows have been a rare thing, so
be sure to experience it while you can. Dates and information can be
found on Gotye's MySpace page. Check Out More From Gotye: - Gotye "Like Drawing Blood" Album Review Click Here - The Basics "Lookin Over My Shoulder" Click Here
