More SFHB! News: Falls Festival 2007 We
always like to spot some local talent on the rise on Web Wombat's The
Music Channel - and when it comes to potential stars, they don't get
any better than this.
Formed in late winter of 2006, SFHB!
quickly proved they were a force within the industry when less than a
year later this group of High School kids played shows at some of
Melbourne's most renowned live music
venues, including Roxanne’s Parlour, Eurotrash, Click Click and
Revolver.
In December 2007, the group won a nation wide
competition on Triple J which let to a coveted spot
on the lineup of the 2007 Falls Festival held in Lorne, Victoria (sharing the bill with the likes of Kings of Leon, New
Young Pony Club, Groove Armarda, Midnight Juggernauts, The Cops,
Operator Please, Cut off your Hands, Lior and Gotye).
Taking
a break in early 2008, this likeable group of youngsters headed back
into the studio in early August, with the help of producer Neil
Thomason (My Disco, Love of Diagrams) to record single Tight Beat of Independance plus a kick ass B-Side.
The unqiue Melbourne post / punk indie outfit SFHB! (formerly SuperFunHappyBand!) have just released their new single, Tight Beat of Independance, which can now be streamed live from their MySpace, and is also doing the rounds on Triple J.
SFHB! will be touring nationally in support of their new single:
- 17 Oct 2008 - Mum @ World Bar, Sydney - 20 Nov 2008 - Club 77, Sydney - 22 Nov 2008 - Ric’s Bar, Brisbane - 28 Nov 2008 - Ed Castle, Adelaide
More dates to be added in the following weeks. Official MySpace : www.myspace.com/sfhbmusic
