Noel Gallagher Announces Two Solo Albums
Everyone's favourite rock n roll brothers shocked the world a few
years ago when they announced the end of the BritPop sensation that was
Oasis. It was a long time coming for fans, but still, it was news that
broke the heart of millions of fans who had taken the tunes of Oasis
into their hearts.
The split does deliver some positives though.
Instead of one Oasis album every fews years - fans will now get a
double dose from Liam's band Beady Eye as well as Noel's solo stuff.
Or, if Noel has anything to do with it, a double-double dose!
Noel
is stepping up with not one but two solo albums, 'Noel Gallagher's High
Flying Birds' - the first of TWO recently completed albums - will be
released through his own label, Sour Mash Records, on October 17th
(this date will vary slightly internationally).
In the video
below, Noel Gallagher reacts to claims from his brother that Liam's
better off without him, now that they've gone their separate ways!
'Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' features ten new songs and was
recorded over the past year in London and Los Angeles. It was
co-produced by Noel and David Sardy, who Noel has worked with
previously.
Gallagher’s second album was done in collaboration
with Amorphous Androgynous, a psych-rock offshoot of the British
electronic band The Future Sound Of London. This as-yet untitled album
will be released in 2012.
Gallagher plans to tour, though no dates have been announced yet.
While
