We've
been listening to The
Panic's (the cool, calm and collected five-some from Perth, Western
Australia) new stuff recently in the Web Wombat offices, and we
couldn't go past this song because it's
probably one of the best that features on the new album "Cruel Guards".
Australia's national broadcaster Triple J has had
the song on rotation for a few weeks now, and for good reason - it's, as Ron Burgundy would say, 'The Balls'.
The
melodies are catchy (to the point where
we've probably gorged ourselves on it - in particular one writer
- who will remain nameless - that may have very well ruined it
for all of us!), the chorus has a few different
levels and its the kind of song that puts you in a good mood.
It's got a good message too. I found some
food on the ground the other day, didn't know what it was, and I didn't
fight it. I just ate it. As it turns out my immune system couldn't fight the diseased mystery meat either...
