Never has an album had such a mixed reception as Silverchair's fifth outing, "Young Modern".
While
many claim it to be one of the mose progressive, genius, and catchy
albums of the last decade - there are just as many who claim that it's
a girly piece of self indulgent tripe.
In fact, since the release of the clip for Silverchair's latest single, the epiccally manic If You Keep Losing Sleep, the message boards have been a breeding ground of diverse opinions. Everything from:
"The best thing yet"
to
"This is just another excuse for Daniel Johns to mince around and sing like a girl. Paul Mac has a lot to answer for!"
Personally,
the folk in the Web Wombat offices think this is one of the most
enjoyable songs of the year, for the pure fact it sounds like an audio
LSD trip. The clip, too, is pretty cool. It's Rocky Horror meets Frankenstein meets Casper. How can you not enjoy it!
