Exclusive: Zoophyte - Live
& Acoustic!
The true mark of a performer is whether
or not they can get out
from behind the relatively safety of electric guitars and distortion
and strip the music right back to the bare essentials.
Luckily,
this week, Web Wombat will have exclusive access to some very rare and
unseen Live Performances and Interviews from some of the best bands
Melbourne has to offer thanks to the boys from Channel 31's The
Shambles.
First up is one of Melbourne's finest, Zoophyte.
Having
been based in Melbourne for the last few years, the rather large team
from Zoophyte (we're pretty sure they are shipped around in a clown
car) have recently taken their talents on the road to promote their new
disc "Another Point Of View".
In this exclusive performance from the boys (Cam Lee [brother of Hamish & Andy's
"Andy Lee"], James Johnson, Andrew Gilpin, James Maj) on The Breakfast Show with Sos,
Valvo & Lynchy, play the first single from the
album entitled Believe.
In the interview, Cam speaks with Lynchy & Valvo about the
recent lien up changes to the band, the problem with sound limiters at
gigs as well as an improptue performance on a carboard tube (to prove
that anything can be made to sound like a didgerdoo).
Also keep an eye out for Zoophyte's new bass player - who looks
remarkably like Coldplay's
Chris Martin.
We knew that he was doing something while Coldplay
were on hiatus!!!
