Interview : Kathleen Amarant and Angie Bedford - OPTC - Playing To Win
OPTC is a community based performing arts
group and was created to bridge the gap between secondary school
productions and non-professional theatre.
Established in 2008, the company has been striving to produce one major
production a year with other ventures through out. OPTC operates out of
the Rivergum Theatre in Bundoora and is open to all those interested in
performing arts. As well as anyone keen on the technical and producing
aspects of the theatre world.
So what does 2011 have in stall for OPTC? Introducing OPTC's original
variety concert, featuring musical theatre and classic rock hits from
artists such as Queen, Meatloaf, John Farnham and many more.
With the theme 'superheroes', OPTC takes you on a adventure of heroic
proportions through song. The concert takes you into a world where both
Heroes and Villains are "Playing to Win".
We werre lucky to catch up with two of the shows stars - Kathleen
Amarant and Angie Bedford - who give the first glimpse of OPTCs concert
"Playing to Win". With only a month till the one night performance the
cast are developing their superpowers for a performance of heroic
proportions.
