Abrams M1A1 Main Battle Tank

The Abrams M1A1 main battle tank is an awesome
killing machine that provides the US ground forces with unbeatable
firepower.
It is the largest and most powerful armoured
vehicle in the world and can outrange Iraqi tanks by some
1000 metres.
The highly trained crews of Abrams tanks boast
"one shot, one hit, one hit, one kill" and if the
history of the earlier versions of the tan k in the 1991 Gulf
War is anything to go by that is no idle comment.
In the 1991 conflict nine Abrams took on 120
dug-in Iraqi tanks and armoured vehicles and within 30 minutes
had destroyed almost half of them for no losses.
