AH-64D Apache Longbow attack helicopter

One of the most frightening weapons platforms
in modern warfare is the AH-64D Apache Longbow attack helicopter.
The heavily armed chopper is the perfect ground-attack
support weapon as it can be used against tanks, ground forces,
radar sites and even other aircraft.
Equipped with a 30mm chain cannon and capable
of carrying Hellfire anti-tank missiles, Sidearm anti-radar
missiles and Sidewinder Air-to-Air missiles, the Apache also
has an advantage with its over-the-horizon radar capablity.
Longbow, as it is known, can locate and classify up to 128
potential targets in 30 seconds.
As effective as the Apache was during the 1991 Gulf War,
US Army tests rate the current models as being four times
more lethal.
