It's that time again party people. Time to shake those hips once more with Sonys latest Digital Dancing Experience: DanceStar Party Hits.

Much like DanceStar Party, released last year, Hits allows prospective dance stars the opportunity to practice their moves, or eminate their favourite pop stars all in the comfort of their lounge room.

Terrible dancers rejoice, you can flaunt your thang til the early hours of the morning and not have to worry about embarrassing your friends (or yourself). Thanks Sony.

DanceStar Party Hits

All you need to enjoy this sequel to the DanceStar Party franchise is a PS3 Move Motion Controller and a couple of like-minded friends. Then it's time to get your groove on once again.

A simple menu layout makes the game accessable to all ages. From the young tackers learning to dance, to the old timers who mistakenly think they are still smooth movers.

As was the case for the original DanceStar Party, the point of the game is to emulate the moves of the onscreen dance characters. In our case, we never advanced beyond the most basic difficulty, and this was still a challenge. John Travolta we are not.

The Motion Move Controller in conjuction with the camera, tracks the movements of the dancer and depending on how accurate the movement of the controller is to the guide, will decide what score you receive.

DanceStar Party Hits

DanceStar Party Hits incorporates 160 high-energy dance routines. Some of which Danielle Spencer would struggle with even with the help of her sex/dance partner. (Sorry Russell).

Similar to the original game, the more friends dancing, the more fun is to be had. Hits allows up to 20 players to join in for a high energy social dance session. Pretty Entertaining if we must say so ourselves.

One of the most useful and entertaining game modes is the Work-Out Mode. This mode tracks the loss of calories through work-out dance sessions. Good motivation to exercise without leaving the house! (Although we would recommend a jog around the block, even a brisk walk).

Online capabilities range from uploading your own dance routines to challenging for the title of the DanceStar Leaderboards. Good luck getting up there, you'll need it!

DanceStar Party Hits

Forty tunes from international artists round out a pretty solid selection of music. We aren't going to name them all, but we will give you a taste of what's on offer. Chris Brown, Nicky Minaj, Run DMC, Basement Jaxx and Avril Lavigne just to name a few. As you can see, fairly eclectic. Hell, they even have The Beach Boys.

DanceStar Party Hits is a fun, interactive, social game. For those out there with no friends, probably steer clear of this title. There is fun to be had if you like dancing, think you can dance, or enjoy making a fool of yourself for your friends amusement.

Definitely a game for a younger, female audience.
