The original TouchMaster game was created by
Midway Games back in
2007 and then later followed up by the sequel, TouchMaster 2 which was
released in 2008.
Now, under the reins of Warner Bros,
TouchMaster 3 has hit the small screens of the Nintendo DS, offering 20
games and numerous Badges, Trophies and Wizard points to earn.
TouchMaster
3 offers a fresh and varied selection of mini-games from puzzle to
action, card to strategy and even word challenges. Gamers can play
single player or two player multiplayer which requires a
single
copy of the game since it utilises the DS Download Play system.
Stand
out game of the bunch would have to be the rendition of the classic
Concentration, but this time around you're trying to match up specific
food ingredients to make a certain dish, getting the wrong ingredients
causes the mini animated chef to cringe in distaste. Triples Plus and
Nine Holes also get an honourable mention.
Gamers can track their
game progress by collecting Trophies and Badges to earn points and
unlock new player titles with the key goal of collecting all 500 wizard
points to become the Grand TouchMaster.
The menu system is easy
to navigate and well presented. Visually, TouchMaster 3 is an
improvement over the two previous titles and is a very solid and
playable game.
TouchMaster 3 presents a good variety of games
across five genres with some games being better than others. With 20
games to experience I'm sure there is something for everyone.
