Assassins Creed: Revelations - Latest

& Trailer
The trilogy of Ezio is almost at a close with
Assassins Creed: Revelations due to hit our shelves on November 11.
This time round we find Ezio in Constantinople looking for Keys to a
weapon hidden by Altaïr Ibn La'Ahad, the assassin we met in the first
part of the trilogy. Using artifacts that Altaïr has possessed at one
time in his life, Ezio must connect with the assassin's past and try to
end the war between the Assassins and Templars.
Let's not over-look what happened at the end of Brotherhood, for those
of yet to play Brotherhood - we warn you now - Spoilers ahead!
With Desmond trapped inside the Animus, he has discovered "The Black
Room" in the hopes of re-connecting with both Ezio and Altaïr and
restoring his consciousness.
The trailer that has been released so far is incredible. As a big fan
of this franchise I can't help but love seeing the cinematics when they
are released. In it, we find ourselves looking at a much older Ezio
than seen in the previous games as he goes toe to toe with what appears
to be an army worth of bad guys.
During the heated battle we see flashes of Altaïr walking his old path.
So it looks like we will be able to play as Ezio, Altaïr and Desmond
during Revelations. This is really exciting; with three generations of
Assassins in the one game we are sure to discover a lot more about each
character.
The addition of a hook-blade will allow for easier navigation
throughout the open world game. It's actually a really good initiative,
as one of the most frustrating aspects of open world games is traveling
towards a mission point or waypoint without much speed. The hook-blade
will act like a Zip-Line.
The game will also feature a continuation of the Multiplayer mode
building on the previous online version, with a heavier focus on the
story. New maps and challenges have been added with players also being
able to create their own Guild and individual coat of arms.
This could also be the last time we play as Ezio and Altaïr as main
characters with Revelations possibly being that last Assassins game to
be set in the Renaissance era.
What does that mean though, there are just so many questions left
unanswered. Are we going to be seeing the assassin's war come to the
modern Era in a bigger way? Will Desmond take up a new order? Will this
game be more like Brotherhood? Will it be a bridging game between
Assassins Creed II and a Possible Assassins Creed III?
I guess only time will tell. All I know is that this game
will be amazing. If trailers are anything to go by Assassins Creed:
Revelations will be action packed as the search for the hidden weapon
at locations both new and familiar continues.
With Ubisoft announcing a November 11 release date for Australia,
Assassins Creed: Revelations is set to be a big opponent for Uncharted
3: Drake’s Deception due out on the 1st of November.
