Claudia Albertario

When the words 'South America' and 'models'
are mentioned in conversation, more often than not the talk turns to
Brazil.
This is because by and large, more top
models come from the huge country than most others in the world, but
perhaps Argentina is catching up somewhat?
In the past we've seen gorgeous girls such
as Carolina Ardohain flying the flag
for Argentina, and now you can add beautiful Claudia Albertario to that
list.
Born in Buenos Aires on the 16th of May,
1977, Claudia was 15 when she and her friends started taking happy
snaps of each other.
The seed of modeling was planted in her head
when one her buddies commented that she was very photogenic - and this
seed germinated when her sister, Gaby, suggested she apply to a number
of agencies.
This she did, and with the help of her
sister Claudia took her first steps not into the world of modeling -
that would come later - but into acting.
At the age of 17, Claudia scored a small
part in the South American drama "Inconquistable Corazón", and after
experiencing television production first-hand and enjoying it, she knew
that acting would be part of her life.
Claudia went on to study theatre and as her
knowledge grew, so did her passion, and the new skills she learnt
helped her land even more television roles.
For fans of Argentinean televisions, Claudia
has starred in such shows as "Montaña Rusa Otra Vuelta", "Como Pan
Caliente", "Amigovios", "Gasoleros", "Ricos y Famosos" and
"Chiquititas" to mention a few.
After her profile rose, thanks largely to
her acting successes, she started featuring more and more in magazines
both in South American and internationally, and before long was
considered a fully-fledged sex symbol in her home country. It's not
hard to see why.
Nowadays the Argentinean brunette spends her
time in the Buenosairean region of Villa Urquiza, with her parents and
their small Maltese dog named Pupé.
With Brazil often taking the South American
limelight in terms of mainstream models, while the likes of Chile,
Uruguay, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela and others look on from the shadows,
perhaps Argentina will surface as a new continental champion? If
Claudia Albertario is anything to go by, the revolution may have
already started!
