May Andersen

 From
the northern European country of Denmark comes May Andersen,
a girl who likes to party just as much as she likes to work
- and make no mistake, this top model works hard.
When talking about where she grew up, in Copenhagen, Andersen
states how much she loves the summer months, and who could
blame her?
"There are so many things to do. We have just three
or four hours of darkness in the summer. You can stay outside
all day and night because it's always light. Sleep? You don't,"
said Andersen.
Well, she probably sleeps pretty well these days, as she
lives in New York with her two dogs, after slowly gaining
recognition in the industry.
She was first exposed to the fashion industry at age 13,
when she was spotted in downtown Copenhagen by an industry
photographer.
Since her early brush with modeling, Andersen has appeared
in numerous magazines, including Marie Claire, Vogue and Elle
and she's worked on campaigns for Victoria's Secret, J. Crew
and Matrix Biolage.
More recently May Andersen has finished shooting for the
2003 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, which also stars
our very own Sara O'Hare. Arguably one of the most-read magazines
in America, Australian and parts of Europe, it's widely recognised
as a good way to break into the mainstream.
