Christina Hendricks
By Larry Feltmen
According to Esquire magazine, Christina Hendricks has been voted sexier than Megan Fox.
This curvaceous babe is the latest hottie to hit the small screen, and
is making an impact in a big way on the eyes and hearts of men
everywhere.
"We
love your body. If we're in love with you, we love your body. Your
potbelly, everything," Hendricks writes in "A Letter to Men" in the May edition of Esquire. "Speaking
of your body, you don't understand the power of your own smell. Any
woman who is currently with a man is with him partly because she loves
the way he smells." The actress went on to say that women often keep memories in "steel boxes." "We
remember forever what you say about the bodies of other women" says Hendricks.
"It's not
about whether or not we approve of the comment. It's about learning
what you think is sexy and how we might be able to convey it," she
writes, adding that women also remember everything men say about their
bodies. This hot red head also says that manners, eitquette and
scotch are a big plus in her book, while tank tops, shorts that fall
below the knee and Facebook users are among her turn offs. Hendricks
was born in Knoxville, Tennessee and raised in Twin Falls, Idaho from
third through eighth grade. In 1989, her family moved to Fairfax,
Virginia, where Hendricks appeared in several high school plays and
local community theatre productions.
However, her big break came in the form of a production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor
Dreamcoat at the Junior Musical
Playhouse. Her best-known role is that of Joan Holloway on the
Emmy and Golden Globe-winning series Mad Men. The show centres on the
macho, booze-soaked world of advertising in New York City in the early
1960s. Hendricks plays the character of an office manager at an ad
agency called Sterling Cooper, providing mentoring to a group of women
who must deal with the come-ons and callousness of professional
advertising executives. However, good luck trying to snag this hot babe as she married actor Geoffrey Arend in 2009.
Most recently, and the reason for our love of her today, is her stellar performance in the new cult classic Drive.
It's not for the traditional reasons either (bust, bod and hair), it's
because of the way she exits the film. We don't want to give too much
away... but her appearance is literally mind blowing.
So, if just for Drive, Christina Hendricks - we salute you! We can only dream....
