While there many people who were surprised to see that the metallic Transformers flick was 'more than meets the eye', it was more than just the special effects that had people talking.

It was the film's sexy young starlet who got tongues wagging.

For Megan Fox, it wasn't so much a case of 'more than meets the eye' as it was 'not much more the eye can see'. 

My boyfriend was clearly pleased with the provocative camera work in the Transformers movie, but gimme a break. I don't think she was hired for her acting skills.

Born in Tennessee on May 16, 1986 of Native American ancestry, Megan Fox was destined for the big screen from a young age - taking dance and drama lessons at the age of five. 

However, due to growing up in a 'poor household' her dreams were interrupted at the age of ten when here family was forced to move to Florida.

Eager to keep going, Fox continued her training and at the age of 13 broke into the business with a series of modeling jobs - taking home a slew of awards in the process. This, of course, led to Hollywood where the young Fox made her Hollywood debut beside children actors the Olsen Twins in the direct-to-DVD movie Holiday in the Sun.

From here, roles came thick and fast with Megan appearing in everything from low grade TV soaps (Ocean Ave), camp sitcoms (Hope & Faith) and even kids television (What I Like About You, alongside Amanda Bynes). 

It wasn't until her starring role opposite Lindsey Lohan in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, however, that Megan Fox's career really skyrocketed. 

The year 2007 saw Megan hit the big screen in a big way, taking on the role of Mikaela Banes in the blockbuster Transformers - playing the sexy love interest of star on the rise, Shia LaBeouf.

Her sexy demeanour (which, admittedly, made both men and women swoon with her tanned curves) has led to numerous accolades, and has been a popular pinup in the lads mags. She appearing in a five page spread for the November 2005 issue of FHM, was ranked number sixty-eight on the FHM 100 Sexiest Women of 2006, as well as appearances in GZ and Maxim in 2007.

Most recently, she replaced Jessica Alba as FHM's Sexiest Woman in the World. No mean feat, especially when you consider how amazingly stunning Alba actually is.

But what makes her so desirable? Perhaps it's the killer smile, perhaps it's the great butt - or perhaps it's the array of tattoos on her body! Fox is positively plastered in quotes, everything from "We will all laugh at gilded butterflies" (a Shakespearean Quote) on her back right shoulder to a Marilyn Monroe portrait on her right forearm.

The biggest question of all that remains about this luscious Texan is.... why the hell did she dating Brian Austin Green (yep, the one no one liked on Beverly Hills 90210). Perhaps it's all the tattoo ink seeping into her circulatory system and affecting her brain?

Bad dating choices aside, Megan Fox is one Hollywood hottie to keep an eye out for -  especially after her sizzling turn in Transformers : Revenge Of The Fallen which, sadly wasn't reprised in Transformers : Dark of the Moon due to her "personality clash" with director Michael Bay - because she's just going to get bigger and sexier!
