For a fashion column, I must admit, recently I've been more than guilty of concentrating less on actual "models" and moreso on finding the types of girls horny fifteen year old boys are searching the internet for (assuming their parents have installed "Net Nanny" on their computers, assuming "Net Nanny" was even a think after 1998 anyway).

So, to avoid jail time in "fashion writer prison" (the most dangerous prison next to Miami's Mega Jail, mostly due to the increasing number of stiletto stabbings) we thought we'd take a look at a model whose "Runway pretty" moreso than "Hot Girl Pretty".

To clarify this further, it's the same way girls find Misha Barton attractive but no boys do. However, girls hate Pamela Anderson, but boys would wade through a sea of Hep C in order to touch her skin. Different strokes for Different folks I guess.

Anyhew, this is quite a long winded way to get to our lady of the moment : Frida Gustavsson

Born back in June of 1993 (she wouldn't have even had the chance to see Jurassic Park in cinemas... criminal!) this Swedish fashion model is a firecracker if ever we've encountered one. In fact as of September 2012, Frida was ranked as high a #17 on the Top 50 Models Women List.

But how did she get there?

Starting her career in 2008, Gustavsson made her way via an unusual way... Japan. Model company IMG signed her in 2009 and it wasn't long before she was booked in to open the Fall Valentino haute couture show in Paris. What a turn around, hey? They don't even churn out "Saw" sequels that quickly anymore.

This benchmark moment led to a slew of other jobs, including walking for shows like Shiatzy Chen, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Lanvin, Carolina Herrera, Fendi, Christian Dior, Anna Sui, Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein, Emilio Pucci, Celine, Hermès, Jean Paul Gaultier, Dolce & Gabbana,  Yves Saint Laurent, Ralph Lauren and - the one and only - Versace.

Her unique look had her pegged as the fourth "most requested model of the Spring 2010 season" (behind only Kasia Struss, Liu Wen, and Constance Jablonski). It's the one competition you really can't complain about not coming first in.

Not content with her stage work, Frida Gustavsson has also popped up from time to time in mags like Elle, W, Numéro, International editions of Vogue, L'Officiel and Crash. This exposure soon snowballed and opened up the doors of the advertising world for such high lables as Marc Jacobs, Jill Stuart, Anna Sui, H&M, Max Mara and Prada.

However, no matter how successful she's become, Frida never seems to forget her roots and where she comes from. Or, more to the point, they don't seem to forget her. Gustavsson took out the award for Elle Sweden's Model of the Year award in 2011 and even bought her very own apartment in Vasastan in Sweden.

See, who said models just slept in the beds of only those who supply drugs! Sometimes they own the places themselves!
