Jennifer Love Hewitt By Ines

| If there isn't a shortage of
something in the world (water, food, Oasis albums), you can almost be
sure there will be too much of something instead (rainy days, Kyle
Sandilands, Internet Memes).
After
searching for my next assignment for this article, it seems that there
is another shortage ravaging the world - that of models. Yes, it's
true. Once you strip away the glitz, the glam and the drug
addictions, there I sometimes get the feeling that there's
little
in the way of naturally pretty women around. I've
searched
far and wide, and while there are girls out there with
potential, no one has yet to inspire me as "the next runway
goddess in a boob tube". But what is natural beauty? Who has
it? Ladies and gentlemen, I give you
Hollywood starlet Jennifer Love Hewitt (JLH). Now, no
doubt many will disagree with my choice this week. Sure, it's a bit of a retro pick, but hear me out!
What does a former Party of Five
star, who seems to squint a lot, have over the numerous hotties gracing
our catwalks in London, New York, Paris, Italy and Sydney? I'm going to
tell you, so sit tight! Born in Waco, Texas on
February 21, 1979
(yep, the same 'Waco Texas Massacre" place) with a head of gorgeous
auburn hair and brown eyes, no one ever doubted this girl couldn't go
all the way. Love has been in front of the camera ever since
she
was nine when she joined a a dance team that traveled to Russia and
Denmark. By the age of ten she was an international
spokesperson
for LA Gear shoes and not long after this her services were quickly
snapped up by Mattel Toys, for whom she she starred in several
commercials. Not bad for a 10 year old. From
1989 to 1991 Love starred as Robin on the kids show Kids INC.
A classic '80s hit that most of us from that era will fondly remember
the catchy theme tune. And then in 1991 JLH starred in a
Barbie
dance workout video, which led to her appearance in the film Munchies in 1992.
The
ball never stopped rolling for Jennifer, and you may remember her foray
into music in the late '90s with "Bare Naked". But her musical ambition
didn't start there, oh gosh golly no! Back in 1992 she came out with
her first CD called 'Love Songs' but was only released in
Japan.
This makes very little sense considering English is not the first
language of the small-but-enterprising island country, unless of course
the album was a torrid affair that could only be appreciated by Shinto
priests for yet another enigmatic reason. Regardless,
'Love
Songs' was followed up by an American release in 1995 with the album
'Let's Go Bang' which was met by American audiences with little fanfare.
For
the mainstream, it was in 1993 that most got their first real
look
at the potential of JLH in the classically terrible film Sister Act.
However, it wasn't until 1995 when the TV series Party Of Five
became a monster hit around the world, which is when things
really
took off for the adorable entertainer. Riding the success of the teen
series, Jennifer starred in a series of low budget comedies, such
as House Arrest
and Trojan War.
It
wasn't until 1997 in which Hewitt found major success in Hollywood with
the Scream
spinoff slasher flicks I
Know What You Did Last Summer, Can't Hardly Wait
and I Still Know What
You Did Last Summer. However, it hasn't been all
easy-breezy for the Jay-Hoo. Her Party
of Five spinoff series, Time Of Your Life,
lasted barely half a season along with some terrible films such as The Tuxedo (with
Jackie Chan) and Heartbreakers
- which one reviewer wrote up thusly: "The cast seems to be having a
good time; wonderful performance by Hewitt's breasts". On
the topic of her breasts, she has been quoted as saying: "I'm
fascinated with the Jennifer Love Hewitt breast sites," of which there
are a few, we've been clandestinely informed. It's even been said that
JLH looks at these websites to help her decide what to wear. She has
also acknowledged that her breasts have often generated more interest
than her personality, saying "My breasts have a career of their own,
and it's going better than mine." Learn from the best - honesty is the
best policy. There's no doubting the
5'2" singer-actor has
had a topsy turvy career, with many hits, and many misses, but things
seem to be settling once again with the hit TV series Ghost Whisperer.
As women go, she has it all. Beautiful eyes, stunning curves and a
smile to melt anyone's heart. Even Sara Templeton's cold
excuse
for a heart. Oh, but there's one thing that
remains a true
mystery, I hear you echo as an unspoken question: what of that strange
three-fold name, I hear you thinking? Jennifer Love Hewitt got her
first name from her older brother Todd, who picked the name after a
little blonde girl he then had a crush on. Her mother selected her
middle name, Love, which she goes by offstage. I would 'love' do that
myself, but my middle name is Denice. I've also been called De-nasty.
How original. Whether it's singing to a crowd full of
Japanese
teenagers, avoiding psychopathic killers with hooks or simply being
able to speak to the dead - Jennifer Love Hewitt has experienced the
full gamut of a Hollywood career. And it's by no means over...
