Schenkenberg is the world's first male supermodel and what
does he think is his greatest asset?
His bare butt!
Born in 1968, Marcus grew up in Stockholm, Sweden and aspired
to be either an NBA star or a fighter pilot. He left school
in 1987 and travelled to the USA.
In 1989, he was discovered while rollerblading on Venice
Beach and the rest, as they say, is history.
He had been working in the US as a nanny and dogwalker and
within months of being discovered he was on the catwalks in
Paris. Marcus took superstardom in his stride and the campaign
that launched him was the shot of him in the shower for Calvin
Klein jeans.
His first magazine cover was taken for Bazaar and he was
on the catwalks for Versace, Donna Karan and Calvin Klein.
Marcus has since appeared in shows around the world, modelling
for some of fashion's biggest labels.
At 188cm (6ft 2in), he has become the world's most successful
male model. A while ago he was dating Pamela Anderson and
word was that wedding bells weren't far off. . . .
