Protecting yourself from the winter chills isn't just a matter of putting on gloves and a scarf!

While your face bears the brunt of dehydrating heating systems and cold winds - the wintry, dry skin that many of us are accustomed to can be easily rejuvenated with many of the face masks on the market.

An example is Clinique's Skin Calming Moisture Mask that immediately moisturises dry, dehydrated skin and leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth.

Face masks need not only be confined to winter protection - there are many available to clear up problem skin, revitalize, exfoliate, tone and tighten. The Bloom Moisturising Face Mask uses lavender, rose and sandalwood extracts to replenish stressed skin.

If you want to use some products from home, a simple Banana Face Mask can moisutrise your skin. Simply mash 2 bananas, add a teaspoon of honey and ensure the consistency is thick.

Luxuriously slather over your face. Let it set for 10 minutes and rinse off with cool water!

Also don't forget - nothing surpasses Vaseline as one of the best moisurisers around. Be it on your face, to keep eyebrows in check, lips, elbows or dry cuticles. Just apply it before you go to bed.
