Rymill The Yearling Sauvignon Blanc 2012 & Kangarilla Road Terzetto Bottle Shot 2010
Kangarilla Road Terzetto Bottle Shot 2010
There are three varieties of grape that are blended to make the new label titled
Terzetto. The wine, to come out of Kangarilla Road, is an interesting McLaren
Vale blend that proves to be a beautifully satisfying wine.
Winemaker, Kevin O'Brian declared "The name is Italian for 'threesome',
and is a blend of 20% Nebbiolo, 35% Primitivo and 45% Sangiovese."
He added,
"The latter has an
intense rose and tannin structure to it, while the Sangiovese and Primitivo
add spicy cherry and plum."
"It means that on the palate white and black cherries are
dominant along with
rose hip, spicy plums and nuances of cardamom, with rustic fruit tannins
culminating in a wine with incredible lingering flavours that seem to go on
forever,"
concluded O'Brian.
It clearly is an unusual blend and most probably the 2010 vintage won't be
the last of Kevin's forays into it. This is one to enjoy with Italian sausage
and a mash imbued with garlic. Look to pay around $22.

influenced by tropical fruit and a touch of the zingy freshness of pink guava to
the taste buds, which is follow by a longish lasting lime and zesty lemon
