With Paul Ippolito Something To ImpressWynns John Riddoch Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 Classic
Coonawarra Cabernet here folks – in every sense of the word.
Blackcurrants, raspberries, menthol, aniseed with good cedary oak.
Seamless in presentation, classically varietal in stature. Ultra fine
tannins ensue in this balanced well presented Cabernet of substance
that lingering long with black and red fruits in a velvety long finish.
Try it with Wagyu beef.
Drink to 2029. About $75. 96/100 - Superb.

Finesse
and elegance are my initial musings. A tightly knit wine that takes
quite a while to unwind, but when it does, wow – it really opens
aromatically. Glorious nectarines, honey dew melon and lemon fragrance
all with seamless mellow oak. Soft lively acidity supports the good
fruit characters and provides a long lingering peach melon tangy
finish. Quality Chardonnay drinking here. Try it with salt and pepper
crab.
Drink to 2011. About $23. 92/100 – Excellent. Wine Rating Scale - Out Of 100 Points98-100 – Exceptional – A truly world class wine 95-97 – Superb – A memorable drinking experience 91-94 – Excellent – A wonderful mix of a top wine at a decent price 88-90 – Very Good – Really well made wine that should impress 85-87 – Good – Honest everyday drinking
