Beef Stroganoff

Thank you Margaret for this tasty winters dish


¼ Cup Butter
450g Rump Steak (Cut Into Cubes)
2 Tablespoons Flour
450g Mushrooms (Sliced)
1 Can Cream Chicken Soup
1 Cup Sour Cream
½ Cup Onions (Minced)
1 Clove Garlic
1 Teaspoon Salt
¼ Teaspoon Pepper
¼ Teaspoon Paprika
1 Tablespoon Sherry


  1. Heat butter in pan.
  2. Add onion and saute until brown.
  3. Stir in steak, garlic, flour, salt, pepper, paprika & mushrooms.
  4. Saute for about 5 minutes.
  5. Add soup and simmer uncovered for about 20 minutes (or longer if necessary).
  6. Add sherry and sour cream.
  7. Stir in well.

Serve hot on a bed of rice with a sprig of parsley. Serves 4-6.
