Caramel Custard

½ Cup Sugar
2 Tablespoons Water (Cold)
1 Tablespoon Sugar
3 Eggs (Beaten)
¾l Milk

  1. Stir the ½ cup sugar into a pot and add water and bring to a boil. Stir until sugar is a caramel consistency.
  2. Pour mixture into a mould ensuring sides of mould are covered and hollow is sufficient to add later ingredients.
  3. Mix beaten eggs, remaining sugar and milk well and pour into the mould.
  4. Rest mould over a pot of steaming water and let steam for one hour.

Something a bit different to your standard custard recipe. Let cool and enjoy with a small glass of sweet dessert wine. Smooth, sweet and refreshing.
