Chocolate Pudding

Thank you Rita from Tasmania for this hot, sweet dessert dish:

Ingredients

55g Butter
1 Egg
2 Level Dessertspoons Cocoa
Vanilla
½ Cup Sugar
1 Cup Self-Raising Flour
1/3 Cup Milk
Salt

Method

  1. Cream butter & sugar.
  2. Add the egg & vanilla
  3. Beat the mixture well.
  4. Fold in the sifted self-raising flour. cocoa & salt alternatively with milk.
  5. Place in greased oven-proof dish.
  6. Mix an EXTRA cup of sugar & 2 level dessertspoons of cocoa.
  7. Sprinkle this mixure over mixture in dish.
  8. Pour 1½ cups hot water gently over the top of the ingredients in the dish.
  9. Bake in a moderate oven for 30-40 minutes.

Serve hot with ice-cream or cream.
