Glazed Pork Rashers
Ingredients
1kg Pork Rashers
¼ Cup Soy Sauce
1 Tablespoon Hoy Sin Sauce
1 Clove Garlic (Crushed)
1 Tablespoon Honey
1 Tablespoon Sugar
Pinch Pepper
Method
- Place pork rashers in single layer in baking dish.
- Bake in a moderate over for 30 minutes.
- Turn rashers over and back for a further 30 minutes.
- Remove from oven and drain off all fat.
- Combine soy sauce, hoy sin sauce, garlic, honey, sugar and pepper in a bowl.
- Add pork rashers to the bowl and mix well.
- Allow to marinate for one hour.
- Cover bowl and place in refrigerator overnight.
- Next day place rashers in baking dish with marinade.
- Bake in hot oven for 15-20 minutes or until marinade has thickened.
- Turn pork rashers frequently during cooking time.
Glazed Pork Rashers is a tradition Chinese dish served hot on a bed of boiled rice with a side dish of steamed vegetables.
