Glazed Pork Rashers

Ingredients

1kg Pork Rashers
¼ Cup Soy Sauce
1 Tablespoon Hoy Sin Sauce
1 Clove Garlic (Crushed)
1 Tablespoon Honey
1 Tablespoon Sugar
Pinch Pepper

Method

  1. Place pork rashers in single layer in baking dish.
  2. Bake in a moderate over for 30 minutes.
  3. Turn rashers over and back for a further 30 minutes.
  4. Remove from oven and drain off all fat.
  5. Combine soy sauce, hoy sin sauce, garlic, honey, sugar and pepper in a bowl.
  6. Add pork rashers to the bowl and mix well.
  7. Allow to marinate for one hour.
  8. Cover bowl and place in refrigerator overnight.
  9. Next day place rashers in baking dish with marinade.
  10. Bake in hot oven for 15-20 minutes or until marinade has thickened.
  11. Turn pork rashers frequently during cooking time.

Glazed Pork Rashers is a tradition Chinese dish served hot on a bed of boiled rice with a side dish of steamed vegetables.
