Honey Dumplings

Ingredients for Dough
1 Cup Self Raising Flour
1 Tablespoon Butter
Milk
1 Egg
Ingredients for Syrup
1 Cup Water
½ Cup Sugar
1 Tablespoon Butter
1 Tablespoon Honey or Golden Syrup
Method for Dough
- Mix all ingredients together with enough milk to make a soft dough
Method for Syrup
- Melt butter in saucepan and pour in remaining Syrup ingredients, stir till blended.
- Heat syrup until warm
Method
- Scoop spoonfuls of dough and drop into syrup.
- When enough balls in syrup cover saucepan with lid.
- Cook for 35 minutes.
Drain and serve as dessert with custard, cream or ice-cream.
