Paprika Schnitzel
Ingredients:
25g Butter
3 Onions (Sliced)
700g Veal (Thinly Sliced)
Paprika
¼ Cup Flour (Seasoned with Salt & Pepper)
¼ Cup Sour Cream (Thick)
2 Cups Rice
Method:
- Melt butter in hot frying pan.
- Add enough paprika to make the mixture rich red colour.
- Add onions and sauté until tender.
- Coat the veal steaks in flour and slowly place them in pan.
- Add the sour cream as the steaks brown.
- Cover and simmer for about 30 minutes or until tender.
- Add a little water if necessary and stir constantly.
- Add rice to boiling water till cooked, then drain.
Serve your Paprika Schnitzel on a bed of boiled rice and garnish with some mint leaves or a side serving of blanched long beans to add a dash of colour. This Schnitzel dish with a bit of bite serves 4.
