Savoury Cheese Fish Bake
Ingredients
500g Fish Fillets (Fresh)
2 Teaspoons Lemon Juice
¼ Cup Red or Green Capsicum (Diced)
1 Can Condensed Oyster or Mushroom Soup
½ Cup Cheddar Cheese (Grated)
Salt & Pepper
¼ Cup Celery (Diced)
30g Butter
½ Cup Milk
½ Teaspoon Paprika
Method
- Arrange fish fillets in a casserole dish.
- Add salt & pepper to taste and pour lemon juice evenly over fish.
- Saute celery and capsicum in butter in frying pan.
- Add soup and milk to frying pan, heat through and pour into casserole onto fish.
- Sprinkle cheese and paprika over fish in casserole.
- Bake in a moderately hot oven (190ºC) for 30 minutes or until the fish flakes easily and the top is lightly browned.
Serve hot with a side plate of seasonal vegetables or cold with a light colourful salad.
