Simplicity Chocolate Cake

This is a basic easy to make chocolate cake, hence the name Simplicity. Serve topped with chocolate icing and a sprinkle of crushed walnuts (or sprinkles for the kids) and enjoy with a hot cocoa.

Ingredients:

3 Tablespoons Butter (Melted)
1 Cup Self Raising Flour
½ Cup Milk
2 Eggs
2 Tablespoons Cocoa
1 Cup Castor Sugar
½ Teaspoon Vanilla

Method:

  1. Sift flour and cocoa into a bowl.
  2. Add sugar, milk, vanilla and eggs.
  3. Pour the mixture over the melted butter.
  4. Beat very hard for five minutes.
  5. Pour mixture into a 200mm oven proof greased cake mould.
  6. Make in a moderate oven for 45 minutes.
