Dragon Boat Races - Sydney SydneyDragon Boat Races

What better boat race is there than a Dragon Boat Race.

In the waters of Cockle Bay in Darling Harbour, the boats will race along the river to the joy of huge crowds that attend this event every year.

20 people power the massive 12 metre long boats donned out head to tail in terrific decorations featuring of course the trademark drum beater.

So head on down to Darling Harbour from 8am on both days for terrific entertainment.

And of course, it's free. Brilliant.

St.Kilda Festival:  Melbourne Melbourne - St.Kilda Festival

February 2nd - February 10th

First held in 1980, St Kilda Festival is one of Australia's oldest and the Southern hemisphere's largest free street festival. A Melbourne tradition, it is a celebration of summer, showcasing Australian artists and talents against the spectacular natural beauty of the St Kilda foreshore.

The St Kilda Festival has evolved into a nine-day event spanning various venues and locations across the entire St Kilda precinct with a wide variety of Australian music and interactive activities, including; extreme sports, visual arts, comedy and dance classes, family activities and fun workshops.

It's a day of fun in the sun, thrills on the beach and awesome sounds after dark. Just remember to come prepared and treat the ‘hood with utmost respect.

Just don't forget sunscreen!

Ciao! Come Stai?

Immerse yourself into the deep and vibrant Italian Culture during Adelaide's Carnevale.

Carnevale is celebrated all over the world and has been celebrated for centuries. Traditionally there are masked balls, parades, popular theatre, songs, entertainment, folk dancers and activities.

South Australia's Italian community welcomes you to share its wonderful, vibrant culture and traditions.

Bring family and friends and enjoy fabulous regional food and a glass of wine. You'll love the atmosphere and get a chance to see Italian opera, fashion parades and cooking.

Held at the Adelaide Showgrounds from 10am on Saturday and Sunday. Adults admission is $12, whilst kids get in for $5.

February brings with it Northern Tasmania's premier racing event.

The AAMI Launceston Cup is a fantastic day of racing, entertainment and fashion.

Launceston comes alive with the colour and excitement of the Tasmanian Summer Racing Carnival, world class thoroughbred horse racing, fashions, glamour and entertainment.

The AAMI Tasmanian Summer Racing Carnival has been an ever-popular event since it evolved, with the February Launceston Cup being one of its highlights.

Patrons can book a place in a marquee, settle at a picnic car space or enjoy lunch in the Members' Reserve

Launceston Cup Day has it all including great entertainment, extravagant fashions, and an electric fun-filled atmosphere.

For the racing enthusiast there is a smorgasbord of outstanding racing including the $225,000 AAMI Launceston Cup.

So grab your picnic baskets and head on down to Tasman Park for a day at the races.

The Boyup Brook Country Music Festival is Western Australia’s premier Country Music Festival. Five big days of music, fun and laughter.

This event is particularly important to Western Australia as it is the biggest showcase for country music in this State.

The festival attracts all ages, providing a friendly atmosphere of entertainment and a great getaway.

With public support the event has grown from a one day festival to five days of live country music. This brings the grass roots of country music to Boyup Brook, where followers can experience a blend of national artists and original artists from Western Australia in a friendly, country setting. Then, winding down on the Sunday with a traditional Bush Poets' Breakfast and more great live music.

Boyop Brook is located approximately 3 hours drive from Perth.
