| Bob Dullams Batmobile replica is very cool |
It looks like its come straight from the set of the The Dark Knight, but this angry-looking Batmobile is a replica, hand-built by a very clever bloke in America. It
is reported that Bob Dullam built the vehicle based purely on
photographs from the film, which makes the vehicle all the more
impressive. The Batmobile replica looks very good, and it's
not a small vehicle either and the unorthodox wheels and tyres would
have been interesting to engineer. The builder, Mr Dullam,
created the vehicle in his garage, but he does have a head start: his
job is a prop maker so he would have many of the tools of the trade. It
is not known whether the vehicle is street legal, or even if it has an
engine, but Dullam reckons the project costs between $50,000 and
$70,000. Though it's not for sale at the moment, you may see it on Ebay in a few years when Dullam's 'Bat Cave' fills up with more toys. His next project is a Batpod. <Back
