The Swift Sport has come out from its hiding spot as Suzuki Europe gives the motoring world a sneak peek before its official World unveiling at the Frankfort Motor Show this coming September.

Taking aspects from the Swift S Concept car, the Sport has been described as a "Sport Compact" and will be the first complete model change since the original in 2006.

Like most of the motoring world, Suzuki have focused on making the new model more fuel efficient without losing any power, which Suzuki have achieved by developing a 1.6 litre M16A engine specifically for the new Swift Sport.

The 1.6 litre M16A boast a specially designed six speed manual transmission. Struts with internal rebound springs and an exclusive rear-suspension design will also make for exhilarating driving with superior response and handling.

The Swift Sport will be just as safe as its sibling, containing seven air bags - including drivers' knee airbag, ESC and also a light, stiff, impacting, absorbing body.

The exterior itself is more of an aggressive design with a low-slung form that will offer a sense of stability and tension. Adding a large front grille to the Swift Sport will give it a borader and more sporty performance feel too.

Tony Devers the General Manager of Suzuki Australia says; "We are very excited about the preliminary release of the new Swift Sport, but we are still some way off from finalising the Australian Version".

With a possible Australian release date marked in for 2012, the Swift (which Devers is calling the "Ultimate Pocket Rocket") will be a sought after model once it hits our shores.
