Ingolstadt,
Germany - Official photos of the 2011 Audi A7
Sportsback have been released ahead of the cars unveiling at the
Pinakothek der Moderne museum in Munich today.
We must say judging by these
photos the cars design has stayed true to the A7 Sportback concept that
made its debut at the 2009 North American International Auto Show.
The front end features Audi's
trademark LED headlights and single frame grille. Looking at the A7
from side on you can see a slight resemblance to the Porsche Panamera.
The sloping roofline flows smoothly into a rear hatch.
Stepping inside, the cars cabin is
bathed in leather upholstery and wood trim, and features a pop-up
navigation system. Overall the 2011 Audi A7 Sportsback takes design
cues from the Audi A8's interior, however, the door pads are
redesigned, the center console is revised, and the dashboard features
more wood trim.
Audi A7 Sportsback customers will
have a choice of four engine options. Starting off the range is a
3.0-litre TDI with 184 kW, a supercharged 3.0-litre V6 with 200 kW, a
4.2 liter TDI with 258 kW and a 4.2-litre V8 with 277 kW. All engines
are fitted a seven-speed DSG transmission and Quattro all-wheel drive
as standard.
Sources say that customers can
expect to see performance-oriented S7 and RS7 variants, as well as a
hybrid model joining the range within the next year or so.
