to British online insurer swiftcover.com the movers and shakers in the
UK, or is it terms them 'high earners', favour Porsche more than any
other brand. According to the website's 2007 'Rich Car List', which is extrapolated from data gathered by some 2.7
million online quotes, Porsche's top the list, while BMW's are
viewed as relatively average, placing below marques such as Jeep. The
list look at what people who earn £43,000 (A$105,000) or more per year are most likely to buy. Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus, and Saab round out of the top five. The full list is as follows: 1. Staniland, stated that the brand you drive says a lot about your status: "The car
you drive is very much a status symbol and, traditionally, is a clear
indication of the money you earned. "However, our analysis shows that
over time, smaller and greener cars are becoming popular with higher
income earners, as more of us are recognising the importance of
conserving cash and helping to protect the environment," added Staniland. There
is also a list of the 10 cars the wealthiest Brits are least likely to
buy, and Mini sits at number 3 while Proton leads the way as the most
