London,

–
Bugatti have quite a
list of limited edition variants of its Veyron, with the Pur Sang,
Sang Noir, Hermès, Pegaso and Grand Sport just to name a few.
The
latest in the line of limited edition Veyrons is the
Centenaire, the
new model marks the 100th year anniversary of Bugatti.
The
limited edition Bugatti Veyron Centenaire features the same 746kW 8.0
litre quad-turbocharged W16 that produces 1,250 Nm of
torque, the same as the
standard Veyron has.
Only four examples of these
versions will be made, which means there really are a limited edition.
All four vehicles were shown at
the Concorso d'Eleganza in Cernobbio, Italy in April.
This vehicle was sent to the
exclusive London dealership Jack Barclay in the Mayfair district of
London.
Each
of the four models is a unique one-off inspired by the Bugatti Type 35
with each vehicle having a special colour that could be found on a
pre-war race
Bugatti.
The
four Centenaire Edition Veyrons are named after four of
Bugatti's race drivers from the 1920s and 1930s, each vehicle is
painted in
the livery of that driver's home country and also has their name etched
into the interior.
The
blue
car is named for Jean-Pierre Wimille (France), the red for Achille
Varzi (Italy), white represents Hermann zu Leiningen (Germany)
and the green edition, which is named after Sir Malcolm
Campbell
(England) and is the Veyron shown here.
Sir
Malcolm was known for winning the Grand Prix de Boulogne driving a
Bugatti T39A in 1927and 1928. He was also the first man to drive a car
over 300
mph, he also broke the land speed record on nine different occasions.
You can see the
Bugatti Veyron Centenaire in all it's brilliance sitting in the show
room floor at the Jack Barclay dealership in London.
The Bugatti Veyron Centenaire
features a beautifully polished grille, fenders and doors.
Founded
in 1909, Bugatti has led a storied path through the world of
automotive industry, motorsport and high-end supercars. Under the
Volkswagen Group's ownership it has seen steady success despite its
extremely limited-volume output and the latest Centenaire is only going
to continue this trend.
