Caparo T1 RRV: The Fastest Police Car EVER!
Caparo T1 RRV cop car does the 0-160km/h dash in 5.0 seconds flat, enough time to puke
|
London, England — "Getaway drivers and outside lane lovers beware!" reads the press release, "The Met Police has a
teamed up with Brit supercar manufacturer, Caparo, to conceive a brand
new Rapid Response Vehicle (RRV) for the future – on show at MPH ’07
this weekend." The
Caparo T1 RRV would have to be the quickest police car the world has
ever seen. If you see this Formula 1 inspired carbon car in your rear
view mirror don't both trying to outrun it because not even a highly
modified twin supercharged Ferrari F430 could outpace this thing - it's really quite mad.
It'll scramble from zero to 100km/h in less than 3.0 seconds flat, and
will hammer from zero to 160km/h (0-100mph) in 5.0 seconds, which is
fast enough to remind you what you had for breakfast. The Caparo
T1 RRV police pursuit car is powered by a 429kW (575hp) 3.5-litre V8
engine that revs to engine speeds that make the new BMW M3 look tired
and breathless.
"Capable of accelerating from a Police lay-by
to
100mph in just 5 seconds and onto a top speed of 200mph, the Caparo T1
RRV would be deployed to hunt down car criminals within the M25," reads
the press release. The M25 is the large stretch of highway that circles
London city, home to more than a few speeders. "Like
everything else in the Met Police's armoury, this bespoke RRV is
intended as a deterrent. Just check your mirrors next time you fancy
breaking the speed limit!" |
