Creative fantasy: the Ferrari Zobin concept

Tehran, Iran —
When fans and enthusiasts develop their own idea of the ultimate sports
car, you get designs like the Ferrari Zobin concept. This wild
design is the brainchild of 33-year-old Siamak Ruhi Dehkordi, an
Iranian designer who took it upon himself to create the ultimate
open-wheeler Ferrari. While this is purely a design concept and
has about 0.01% of ever becoming a reality, it's an original,
compelling design that's set a few pulses racing around the
office. The Ferrari buffs here are in two minds about the
design because it's not officially a Ferrari, but as sometimes happens
if the Prancing Horse's top brass get wind of the designDehkordi could end up working for them. The
Ferrari Zobin concept is a single-seater sports car with clear Formula
1 inspirations, such as the nose cone, front spoiler and mid-mount
engine. Because this is a design concept the actual engine is
less important than the design itself, but would probably have to be
one of Ferrari's smaller engines judging by the small area behind
the driver, perhaps the F430's 4.3-litre V8 engine. Presumably
designed to be constructed from lightweight materials such as
magnesium, aluminium and carbon fibre, the Zobin concept could be
capable of destroying the zero to 100km/h dash in record time if it
ever became a reality. With an open wheel design, the front end spoiler system is perhaps the most dynamic. As
well as increasing downforce over the front axle the integrated spoiler
system also supports the headlights and would provide limited
protection for the exposed suspension rig, particularly in a high speed
'off' into a gravel trap. Measuring 1.85 metres wide and 4.11 metres long the Ferrari Zobin concept is a fairly compact sports car. Another one to add to the dream car list! Related Links:
