Motoring Staff - 26/August/2010

California, United States -  Fisker has released a new video showcasing their new Karma plug-in hybrid.

The super sleek sedan features two electric motors that produce 300 kW of max power and 1300Nm of torque. Both engines are powered by a 200kW lithium-ion battery pack, which gives the car up to 80.5 km of travel before the GM-sourced 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine takes over until the electric motors recharge.

Performance wise, the car is able to accelerates from 0-100 km/h in around six seconds, before hitting a top speed of 201km/h. The Fisker Karma has an estimated combined fuel consumption rating of 2.0-Litres per 100km.

The Frisker Karma plug-in hybrid was originally scheduled to go on sale last year, but was delayed. It is now expected to launch in 2011.
