entry level model when the car launches to invigorate sales, which
could be priced from around $34,000. The new Falcon ute range starts at $27,795. Ford says the new FG Falcon represents one of the most exceptional large car

On
sale in May, the new entry-level XT Falcon's price has risen slightly
but it comes standard with a new tiptronic 5-speed automatic.
The luxury models 'G Series' models are lower in price compared to the previous luxury Falcons. "The
all-new FG Falcon range delivers sensational value to customers seeking
a truly world-class large car to meet their needs and match their
lifestyle," said Ford Australia's new President, Bill Osborne. "With
the entry-level XT increasing in price by just $500 compared to its
predecessor and the exciting new G6E Turbo setting a new sports luxury
benchmark for less than $55,000, customers are sure to appreciate the
world-class quality and value offered by the latest Falcon range. As
well as new Falcon models - namely the sports luxury 'G Series'
sedan range - Ford's new XR sports models bring some new tricks to the
table. The XR6 Turbo has a revised turbocharger and manual models get a
launch control system. The
XR8 meanwhile benefits from a semi-active muffler system, which
increases the V8 'rumble' at higher revs, while staying quiet at low
engine speeds. "Excitement
levels surrounding the all-new model have exceeded all expectations,
with thousands of visitors to the Ford stand at the recent Melbourne
International Motor Show sparking queues just have a look inside and
sit behind the wheel of the next generation Falcon," said Osborne. "Today's
pricing announcement is sure to add to the level of interest shown by
customers and those people who are already part of the Ford family,
especially once they see just how competitive the new model is and all
that it has to offer large car buyers," said Bill Osborne. Ford
will also be offering buyers a number of value-added 'packs' that boost
the safety and technology of the new FG Falcon. The packs are as
follows:
Technology Pack - $450: available on XT, G6 and across the XR range, it adds Bluetooth mobile phone integration with iPod Integration.
Safety Pack - $600: available on XT, G6 and across the XR range, it adds
side curtain airbags, power adjustable pedals (automatic transmission
models only) and a perimeter alarm. Side curtain airbags are also
available as a stand alone option for just $300.
XR Luxury Pack
- $5,400: available on the XR models, it adds leather seat trim, dual
zone climate control, Premium audio system, sports steering wheel and
interior finishes, and 19-inch alloy wheels. It costs $5,000 for XR8 and XR6 Turbo.
