Munich,
Germany
- GeigerCars specialise in tuning US cars. Based in
Munich the German tuners have put their focus on a Ford GT.
The
company call their latest creation the Geiger HP 790, as the name
suggests the Ford GT's 5.4-litre V8 now produces 790 horsepower (581kW)
at 6320rpm and 863Nm of torque at 4600rpm. These figures are achieved
by using a larger 4.0-litre compressor (up from the stock 2.3-litre
unit), new throttle valves, a sports air filter, improved cooling
systems, and revised engine electronics.
This allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0-100
km/h in just 3.6 seconds before hitting a top speed of 360 km/h.
Other
modifications include a sports exhaust system with two 110mm exhaust
pipes, a set of matt black alloy wheels (9x20 front, 11x21 rear) with
Dunlop SP Sport Maxx tyres, a specially-developed coilover suspension
reducing the ride height by 60mm and hydraulic shock absorbers that
have adjustable pressure and rebound damping which can be set to suit
the drivers' needs.
