Holden has released details of the 2011 Holden WM Series II Caprice and
the Caprice V-Series.
The Series II update Holden
signals the end of the Statesman nameplate. Both vehicles are set to
launch this month.
The Series II features a 210kW
SIDI V6 direct-injection engine that is coupled to a six-speed Active
Select automatic transmission. SIDI V6 engine uses 9.9litres of fuel
per 100km.
New to the 2011 model is a
Holden-iQ touch screen infotainment system. This includes real-time
traffic alerts, Bluetooth connectivity, USB connection, and a rear view
camera display.
For a bit more grunt customers can
opt for the Holden Caprice V-Series . The V-Series does away with the
V6 and makes use of a 6.0-litre V8 engine that knocks out 260kW of
power and is also mated to the six-speed Active Select automatic
transmission. The V-Series uses 12.3-litres of fuel per 100 kilometers.
Caprice V-Series also offers ‘fuel
of the future’ bio-ethanol capability, also known as E85.
The V-Series gets Nappa leather
treatment in the interior, Bose sound system, tri-zone climate control,
as well as LCD screens in the seats for rear passengers viewing
pleasure.
Holden offers a choices of colours
for each model which includes the new Alto Grey, Sizzle metallic red
and Mirage Glow beige.
Other colours include Karma
metallic blue, Nitrate metallic silver, Heron white, and Phantom
metallic black.
