The 'production' versions of the new Honda Accord
will be unveiled at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show

Frankfurt, Germany — What we see here is an early look at Honda's next generation Accord Euro wagon. It's wider than the current Accord and lower too and with a sharper design it could be that Honda wants to take on the BMW 3 Series with the next generation Accord Euro.

Three engines will be offered in the new 2008 Accord Euro range: two petrol engines of 2.0 and 2.4-litre capacities and a 2.2-litre i-DTEC diesel engine mirror those in the current Accord range. Honda says that power output will be boosted and emissions and fuel economy significantly improved for all engines, which is good news, and that it will be one of the first cars in the world to offer an entirely Euro 5-compliant engine line-up.

As well as the athletic new design, the 2008 Honda Accord Euro will be complemented by innovative new chassis technology that will deliver exceptional handling, greater linear stability and a more involving driving experience without compromising ride comfort.

In 2008 an all-new Honda Accord sedan and sports wagon will be released across Europe, after it's debut at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show. In Australia, the new Honda Accord Euro is expected to arrive in "in mid to late 2008" according to the local Honda office.

Though we will have to wait for the 2008 Geneva Motor Show in March to see the production versions of the new 2008 model Accord Euro, these images provide a very good idea of what we can expect."The premiere of the Accord Tourer Concept provides a strong indication of the design direction of the all-new generation Accord Tourer set to debut in mid-2008," reads the Honda release dossier.
