Australia - Honda
has announced that it's new CB1100F is set to hit Australia later this
month.
As nod to the much loved Honda CB750 Four, all
round function, combined with easy performance and heritage styling
mark the distinguishing characteristics of the new CB1100F.
Powering the CB1100F is a 64kW 1140cc
inline four-cylinder engine with dual overhead cams and an
8500rpm range. Fuel-injection helps achieve decent fuel economy
while a small
oil-cooler, combined with 2mm engine cooling fins ensures no
overheating.
The front suspension features 41mm standard
forks while the rear is suspended with a pair of preload-adjustable
Showa dampers.
Visually, the CB1100 does a good job in keeping
its heritage alive. The large engine puts the rider into a
forward-biased stance. With a seat height of just 775 mm, riders of all
heights should feel comfortable sitting on the CB1100F.
The clean lines of the bike are complemented by
the simple wheel design that is integrated with the front brake disc
carriers, the analog clocks with the large digital readout in the
middle, the aircraft-style fuel filler cap, the minimalist seat and the
Honda badges all give the CB1100F a unique vintage look whilst
incorporating all the modern features of a new bike.
Arriving in Australia in late May, the CB1100F is
available in Candy Glory Red and Pearl Milky White.
*RRP is $14990
(plus on road costs).
