Tokyo, Japan — Honda's new S2000 Type S is based on the S2000 open-top sports car, but features a much sportier personality. With
an all-new body kit the new vehicle isn't likely to find it's way to
Australia, but we can dream. The new look will turn heads, but it's
also a more aerodynamic design and Honda says that it improves the cars
speed and handling as a result. The Honda S2000 Type S has a lot in common with the North American Honda S2000 Club Racer model, which was shown at the New York Motor Show, and is powered by a 176kW
(237hp) 2.2-litre naturally aspirated engine. It revs to more than
7000rpm to attain its peak power, and drives through the rear wheels -
a rarity in the Honda range. The Type
S model gets a larger rear wing, new aero front and rear aprons, side
skirts, new wheels, and new colour-coded leather interior. Related Links: - Honda Jazz (2008) - Honda Accord Tourer Concept (2007) - Honda Accord USA (2008) - Honda
